ASWi and Mekorma Partner to Bring Complex Solution Visions to Life

Great partnerships don’t happen overnight. They develop over time – just like great software! 

Here at Mekorma, we have cherished relationships with many Microsoft Dynamics GP VARs and partners, spanning across decades.  

In recent times, we’ve been stretching into new territory by developing our Accounts Payable solution line for Acumatica Cloud ERP. While we’re not newbies to the ERP, AP, or software development space, we are new to the Acumatica community. 

But the beginnings of a synergistic partnership are stirring with Mekorma and ASWi, and in a very short time frame we’ve combined forces to optimize the last mile of a few Acumatica solution implementations. 

 

ERP Implementations are about Managing Organizational Change

 

On the surface, ASWi is an Acumatica partner with expertise in manufacturing. But their true modus operandi is not just product but fostering successful change management across an organization’s culture. Bringing an ERP solution from an idea into fruition is a great way to go from subpar, resource-intensive processes to innovating with streamlined ways of working and thinking. 

ASWi’s CEO Nick Knight says, “We’re not just about the tools. Achieving sustainable change management is the first part of the vision. We try to be experts at supporting the change management so our customers can reach their big goals.” 

This orientation is very much in alignment with how we function at Mekorma, so the partnership is a natural fit.  

 

Completing a Solution Vision 

 

Acumatica Cloud ERP is consistently rated as one of the most user-friendly, effective cloud ERPs on the market. The out-of-the-box functionality satisfies at least 80% of a typical implementation, regardless of industry.  

For deeper customizations, Acumatica Cloud ERP's personalization and low/code no/code capabilities can take a solution towards 95% completion.  

To complete the last mile, the Acumatica xRP platform and Acumatica's developer tools may need to be employed to meet a 99-100% solution fit. This is where Mekorma has assisted ASWi with consulting work and development skills.

 

 

Project #1: Report Modifications 

 

ASWi first brought Mekorma in on some simple report modifications. The project included developing custom check layouts to make sure the client’s new system is compatible with their bank requirements.  

Mekorma has been providing this type of solution for Dynamics GP customers for almost thirty years, so it was an easy skill set to transfer to Acumatica ERP. 

 

 

Project #2: Integrating External System with Acumatica 

 

The second project was a more in-depth integration and involved building out queries for a customer’s external online ordering system to read data from Acumatica, and configuring & documenting API endpoints to integrate sales data into Acumatica.  

 

 

Project #3: Building a Tax Integration 

 

Mekorma provided consulting work to help ASWi import extracted tax data from the client’s external system.

Along with a third partner, this project is laying the groundwork for a commercially available tax utility that ASWi will eventually offer in the Acumatica marketplace.  

 

Better Together

This attitude is one of the primary reasons I am excited to continue to develop solutions for the Acumatica ecosystem. At Mekorma, we look forward to serving Acumatica Cloud ERP subscribers by growing with ASWi and making more connections with savvy Acumatica partners – with the mutual goal of helping businesses thrive.
