What to Do About Microsoft’s TLS Deprecation

Microsoft has recently announced the deprecation of Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol versions 1.0 and 1.1, which has impacted services like Microsoft Exchange Online and Azure DevOps (here’s the Azure DevOps team’s announcement issued on November 21, 2021).

These changes have caught many businesses by surprise, which caused the software and platforms giant to issue a stay for some of the most highly used services.

But make no mistake! Microsoft will move forward with its plans: we recommend your organization enable TLS 1.2 as soon as possible.

Mekorma is also currently evaluating disabling TLS 1.0/1.1 for some of our supporting services, in alignment with industry trends. We will work with and advise you well in advance of any actions you may need to take as a result.

Since these changes have also impacted Microsoft Dynamics GP, you will want to get ahead of the game by ensuring compliance with TLS 1.2. This may require upgrading Microsoft Dynamics GP, your Mekorma software, or both. Please contact your Microsoft Partner or Mekorma Customer Success  to determine the best course of action.

Our Customer Success Team can help evaluate what steps you need to take to be on the latest TLS security protocol:
