Listening, Learning, and Moving Forward:  A Year of Steady Progress in AP Automation

Sofia Nazaretian , Organizational Steward Dec 16, 2025 Mekorma

A grounded reflection on what we built together this year and where we’re headed next.

Why We’re Sharing This Now

As the year winds down, we want to reflect with you - our valued partners, customers, and the broader AP community we’re honored to support.

For over three decades, we've empowered AP teams with clarity and control in their payment processes. Our journey began with Dynamics GP, evolved through Power Platform innovations that boosted GP user productivity, and today our dedication endures.

That commitment continues as we deepen our Business Central solutions, explore thoughtful uses of Power Platform, and consider how AI might serve AP teams in practical, grounded ways, always guided by real workflow needs, not trends.

What You Told Us and How We Responded

Listening carefully and acting thoughtfully has always defined Mekorma’s culture, and this year reaffirmed why it matters. Your feedback, from subtle enhancements to meaningful strategic requests, shaped the choices we made and strengthened the work we’re doing together.

By staying fully engaged in this iterative feedback loop, we continued refining our AP solutions with a focus on what actually works in day-to-day Accounts Payable operations. The result is steady progress that reflects real needs and delivers lasting value.

Partnerships & Community

This year brought new relationships and strengthened long-standing ones.

We welcomed new partners and customers into our community, reconnected with many who’ve journeyed with us for years, and supported leaders navigating new stages of growth. Through all of it, our approach stayed the same: shared goals, clear communication, and collaboration that feels steady and genuine.

Across these moments, we kept hearing a consistent message: Mekorma is a partner you can rely on.

You described our support as unusually responsive, our guidance as clear and expert, and our team as genuinely invested in getting things right. Many of you shared that you “always receive a fast, knowledgeable response,” and that our team “goes above and beyond to resolve issues with care and clarity.”

Hearing this echoed so consistently is grounding and a reminder that reliability and care truly matter.

We aim to be a partner you can count on, consistent, responsive, and grounded in long-term success for all

Strengthening from the Inside Out

Much of this year’s momentum came from the work our team did together.

For several years, Mekorma has been navigating a thoughtful ERP pivot, a long arc that requires patience, curiosity, and steady alignment. This year, that effort accelerated. Teams stepped into an “expansive learning sprint,” exploring new skills, adapting quickly, and approaching challenges with openness and support.

As collaboration deepened across departments, information moved more freely. Sharing knowledge across disciplines made workloads more manageable and decisions more informed.

That agility ties directly to the principles that guide how we operate: building strong relationships, staying curious, and seeing the whole picture before taking thoughtful risks. These principles aren’t abstract. They shape how we show up each day—present, curious, caring, and transparent with one another and with the people we serve.

They also guide our growth. Team members pursued certifications, learned new platforms, and stretched into unfamiliar territory, not out of obligation, but out of a genuine desire to understand more and serve better. That curiosity showed up in both the creativity and resilience our team brought to this year’s challenges.

Courage was another through-line. We told our story with confidence, at industry events, in partner conversations, and in how we’re building for the future. We’re a 35-year-old company that’s still evolving and still willing to take smart risks

Through it all, our culture remains our greatest strength. Our people consistently express appreciation for our human-centered approach: the care, steadiness, and the leadership that makes room for growth. That foundation makes the pivot not only achievable but energizing, and it reinforces our desire to share that same passion with partners and customers as we help them move toward their goals with clarity and confidence.

This alignment has shaped every step we’ve taken this year. It’s made us better partners, clearer thinkers, and more grounded in the work we’re doing together.

Giving Back, Our Way

From the beginning, Mekorma has operated on with a simple belief: the world keeps most people so busy they don't have time to give back. We wanted to build a company that actively changed that equation.

We fulfil that promise by giving our people the time and space to show up for their families, their communities, and themselves. Through flexible schedules and intentional time off, we create room for elder care, volunteering, personal development, and the kind of presence that ripples outward.

We've seen team members serve on nonprofit boards, support local schools, care for aging parents, and invest in their own wellbeing. While these contributions don’t always show up on a spreadsheet, they show up clearly in conversations and reflections, people telling us that working here allows them to be the best version of themselves

We're also exploring what comes next. We're looking at ways to offer our solutions to organizations doing meaningful work in the world, those serving communities that need support most. We’re approaching this thoughtfully, knowing that sustainable giving starts with a sustainable business.

In the meantime, as one team member put it: We give our employees time to give back. That's the throughline.

Our Capabilities in Business Central and AP Automation

Behind the scenes, our team continued to uphold Microsoft solution designations and renew essential certifications. This work doesn’t always draw attention, but it reflects our commitment to quality and staying current.

For Business Central customers and partners, we remain an Indirect CSP, giving us more flexibility to support Microsoft licensing needs while reducing operational friction for AP teams.  It is another way we aim to collaborate with you and reduce friction in your operations.

Looking Ahead

This month we welcomed our 200th Business Central customer, an exciting moment for our growing Business Central ecosystem. As we look towards the new year, we’ll continue deepening our BC capabilities and exploring where Power Platform and AI can serve AP in practical, grounded ways. No hype. No shortcuts. Just thoughtful experimentation focused on solving real workflow challenges.

We’ll share more as these efforts take shape.
