MICR e13B Font Not Printing at Bottom of Check

From time to time clients report that the MICR line at the base of their checks fails to print correctly. Reports include substitute non-MICR fonts printing in place, seemingly random or garbage characters, black boxes, or nothing at all. While the cause of this behavior remains unclear to us, the solution is tried-and-true: Simply reinstall the font. The MICR e13B font can be found in the Dynamics GP root folder where Mekorma MICR is installed. Log in as Windows Admin to the machine where the Dynamics GP instance is accessed for check printing, locate the MICRE13B.ttf file, right-click and choose Install. This will usually correct the problem. It may be necessary to install the font on a print server if using a network printer. In the scenario where load-balanced application servers are used, such as Terminal Server or Citrix, it may be necessary to install the font on all machines. Lastly, rebooting the Citrix or Terminal Servers would be the last step to printing the MICR Font successfully.
